LUPA is a state-of-the-art initiative taking a systems approach to mapping problems in clinical research.
LUPA will develop a holistic view of needed improvements in clinical research from the perspective of each stakeholder.
W h y ?
Current efforts to improve clinical research exist in silos, potentially leading to duplication and hampering progress. Understanding the problems, their prevalence and impact is the first critical step for implementing efficient ways to improve clinical research value for patients.
How?
Through literature review and in-depth primary data collection in surveys and interviews with stakeholders engaged in or impacted by clinical research, LUPA will acquire and analyse data on problems in clinical research and existing solutions.
LUPA will:
Deliver a taxonomy of problems in clinical research, creating a map of organisations and individuals operating in this space.
Lay the foundation for work on developing interventions and bringing together organisations to tackle problems in clinical research.
Provide information for decision- makers on where to channel resources to improve clinical research
Present outputs on the publicly accessible digital platform enabling real world tracking and updates.
