Kevin Knopf is a practicing medical oncologist. He is also a seasoned Health Economist and Health Services researcher as well as the Division Chief for Haematology/Oncology at Alameda Health System. Kevin is a clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of California San Francisco and a member of the Institute for Health Policy Studies at UCSF. His research focuses on large scale data analytics (“big data”), patterns and quality of care in oncology, health disparities in cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment, and cost-effectiveness in cancer care. He started his research career in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research Branch at the NCI, and the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Study. Kevin serves as Vice President of the non-profit Rooms that Rock 4 Chemo. Dr. Knopf holds degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his clinical training at North-western Medical School, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, and the National Cancer Institute.
