Bethany Shinkins, PhD

 

Bethany Shinkins, PhD is Professor of Health Economics, Diagnosis and Screening at the University of Warwick. She has extensive experience in the evaluation of diagnostic and screening tests. As a member of Warwick Screening, she works on a wide portfolio of applied test evaluation projects spanning across many disease areas, including RCTs, comparative diagnostic accuracy studies, analyses of routinely collected data, and economic modelling studies. She undertakes systematic reviews and decision analytic modelling on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of medical tests for the NIHR Evidence Synthesis Programme on behalf of a range of policy makers, including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). She is also a member of the UK National Screening Committee. Beth first qualified in psychology from Kent University and has a PhD in Medical Statistics from Oxford University. has extensive experience in the evaluation of diagnostic and screening tests.
